Dr. Raffi Der Sarkissian, MD
Dr. Der Sarkissian is a board-certified facial plastic surgeon. He is the Director of the Division of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive surgery at Boston University School of Medicine.
Dr. Der Sarkissian has conducted significant research in the areas of skin aging, skin cancer and many aspects of facial reconstruction at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons, New York University School of Medicine, National Institutes of Health in Bethesda and the University of Washington in Seattle.
He has lectured extensively on various topics related to facial plastic surgery locally, nationally at NYU, UCLA, USC, University of Miami, and Duke University and as far as Vietnam and Greece.
Dr. “D” is responsible for teaching Facial Plastic Surgery to residents in training at Boston University School of Medicine and has been awarded the Department’s Award for Excellence in Teaching by the residents.
Linda Bhagwandass-Gobin
Linda has over thirty years of experience in beauty and skincare and is a trained, certified and licensed aesthetician, instructor and distributor. She currently works with prestigious skincare companies.
Besides being the founder of The Face & Body Clinic, Ltd., Linda also founded the Institute of Aesthetics & Beauty Therapy in 1998. Her training began in Beauty Therapy in London, England, in 1980. She has obtained additional over the years throughout Europe and the US.
With over thirty years of experience as a Beauty Therapist & Spa/Clinic Owner, Linda has been recognized and certified by the ITEC. She is also a member of the International ITEC Professionals. Linda teaches both beauty therapy and body therapy. She is also a Certified Laser Technician of Skin Rejuvenation and Hair Removal.
Linda’s passion is to help educate people on ways to take care of their skin. She works with all skin types and conditions but specializes with those of the Fitzpatrick skin types of IV, V, and VI. Clients of the Caribbean and East & West Indian regions greatly benefit from Linda’s expertise.
Linda also specializes in skin tags, keratosis and broken capillaries treatments using the VascuLyse, a virtually painless, non-invasive procedure. Treatments take between five and fifteen minutes and after one to three sessions, the results are remarkable.
Sandra
Sandra became intrigued and fascinated with beauty early in life. She was raised to appreciate nature and planted vegetables and flowers with her mother when she was a little girl. She loved nurturing and watering the plants and watching them grow and blossom. She was fascinated with the process of creating something beautiful with seeds, soil, and water. Her desire to “create and embrace beauty” started at an early age.
Sandra grew up in a humble household. When she was a little girl, missionaries would visit Trinidad. She always looked forward to these visits because they would bring clothes for the children. She would pick out beautiful dresses with full-skirts because she loved how she felt when she wore them. Sandra realized at an early age that there is a connection between feeling good and surrounding yourself with things you find beautiful.
Spa ownership is a family business for Sandra. Her sister, Linda, was the first to open a shop, and Sandra loved helping out whenever she could. One of her favorite memories is when she did a manicure and pedicure for Miss Trinidad…who later went on to win Miss Universe! When Sandra opened Allure Spa in 1994, she was the third sibling in the family to go into the business, following her brother, David.
Sandra has been a licensed aesthetician for over 35 years, and she is passionate about the beauty industry and skin care. She is committed to providing the best quality services for all of her clients, and it is why she continues to invest in the latest technology for aesthetic medical services and the highest quality products for hair and skin care.
Family and faith are of the utmost importance to Sandra. Faith has been her cornerstone, and it has helped make the ever-changing and often volatile journey of Spa ownership possible. Her goal has always been to provide quality services to help people feel better about themselves and to be embraced by beauty. Allure is, and always will be, a sanctuary…for healing, wellness and rejuvenation.
